I have seen so many silly goose-themed baby showers and first birthday parties lately, and I have to tell you – I’m obsessed! Not only is the silly goose theme adorable, but it gives off really classic vibes! I think this trend is going to be all the rage this year, so I want to help yo be prepared!
I’ve searched Etsy for the best of the crochet goose patterns, and I’ve curated a collection for you to easily find inspiration for your next silly goose project! Whether you are making these to decorate at a baby shower, give to your favorite little one on their birthday, or sell, I promise you – choosing just one of these cuties is going to be tough!
Crochet Tools You Should Have Before Getting Started
- Yarn – While yarn will vary depending on your chosen project, I recommend some of these classic favorites:
- Bernat Blanket Yarn – This is great for super plushy, big projects!
- Ella Rae Cuddle Yarn – This is a great plushy yarn that keeps your project a similar size as worsted weight. I love that this yarn is much stronger than other similar yarns.
- I Love This Yarn – If you are making something with worsted weight yarn, I think this is the softest and most durable yarn with plenty of good color options!
- Crochet Hooks – I recommend Clover Amour Ergonomic Hooks or We Crochet Dots Hooks for worsted weight yarn. I love using Clover Amour’s larger hooks for bulky and super bulky yarn!
- Stuffing – If you are making something stuffed, be sure to have plenty of fiberfill on hand. I personally like to buy mine in bulk, but even if you don’t, I recommend The Original Poly-fil Premium by Fairfield.
- Yarn Needle – I highly recommend using steel yarn needles for weaving in ends and sewing on parts of your finished piece. This set of large eye, steel yarn needles is great to have on hand!
- Stitch Markers – Whether you are a frequent user of stitch markers or not, they are still really great to have on hand for more complicated projects. Here is a great inexpensive set, or you can splurge for some much cuter ones like these.
- Scissors – When cutting off ends of a project, you don’t want to use dull scissors. I swear by Fiskars scissors for all my craft projects. If you want a good pair for on-the-go, these work well too!
