I have been so overwhelmed by the amount of support I have received from other crafters and crocheters that I feel compelled to share how I am able to connect with other makers!
If you are a crafter or maker, there are so many different ways to connect and get to know other makers. The maker community has made my heart so full because I am able to interact with others that have similar interests and get ideas and inspiration. The easiest ways I have found to connect with other makers have been online through social media.
If you are on Facebook, I’d love to connect with you through the One Craft at a Time Crafting Community group! I started this group to connect with other makers and share ideas. This group is meant for makers of all types to share what they are making, get inspiration, and provide support for one another. I was inspired to create this Facebook group after getting tremendous support and inspiration from some crocheting groups I have joined.
If you are a crocheter, I would highly, highly, highly recommend these four amazing crocheting community groups that have really inspired me and supported me in my maker journey.
- Ash and Tay Crochet Facebook Group – This group is run by Ashley of A Crafty Concept and Taylor of Taylor Lynn Crochet. This group is extremely supportive of crochet businesses and provides a lot of great advice for mompreneurs.
- Repeat Crafter Me Facebook Group – This group is run by Sarah of Repeat Crafter Me. This group is always booming with conversations and is a great place to ask questions, connect with other crocheters, and get ideas.
- Whistle and Ivy Crochet Club Facebook Group – This group is run by Bethany from Whistle and Ivy. This group shares a lot of great crochet and knit ideas and inspiration.
- The Hook Nook Crochet Facebook Group – This group is run by Jessica from The Hook Nook. This group also shares a lot of great crochet and knit ideas, as well as inspiration for those who love yarn. This group also does really cool gift exchanges! There are some really amazing yarn artists in this group.
Instagram is a wonderful way to connect with other makers. You can keep up with their posts easily, and also really get to know one another through stories and messaging. Instagram makes it really easy to find other fantastic makers through hashtags as well.
Pinterest makes it extremely easy to find ideas and save them for later. I highly suggest you find some of your favorite crafters and follow their boards on Pinterest. This will allow you to see their awesome new ideas as soon as they post them! Plus, you can help share some love by re-pinning their ideas and letting your followers know all about their awesome creations! In addition,
I hope this information has inspired you to connect with other crafters and makers! Feel free to share links to your social media in the comments below so I can follow you back!
