Community Over Competition – How to Connect with Other Makers through Social Media

I have been so overwhelmed by the amount of support I have received from other crafters and crocheters that I feel compelled to share how I am able to connect with other makers!

If you are a crafter or maker, there are so many different ways to connect and get to know other makers. The maker community has made my heart so full because I am able to interact with others that have similar interests and get ideas and inspiration. The easiest ways I have found to connect with other makers have been online through social media.

Facebook Groups

If you are on Facebook, I’d love to connect with you through the One Craft at a Time Crafting Community group! I started this group to connect with other makers and share ideas. This group is meant for makers of all types to share what they are making, get inspiration, and provide support for one another. I was inspired to create this Facebook group after getting tremendous support and inspiration from some crocheting groups I have joined.

If you are a crocheter, I would highly, highly, highly recommend these four amazing crocheting community groups that have really inspired me and supported me in my maker journey.

Instagram

Instagram is a wonderful way to connect with other makers. You can keep up with their posts easily, and also really get to know one another through stories and messaging. Instagram makes it really easy to find other fantastic makers through hashtags as well.

If you want to connect with me on Instagram, you can find me by searching for @onecraftatatime. I also have a page for my crafting business, @tandc_crafters.

Pinterest

Pinterest makes it extremely easy to find ideas and save them for later. I highly suggest you find some of your favorite crafters and follow their boards on Pinterest. This will allow you to see their awesome new ideas as soon as they post them! Plus, you can help share some love by re-pinning their ideas and letting your followers know all about their awesome creations! In addition, seeign what other makers are pinning also lets you get to know them better because you can see what they llike.

If you want to follow me on Pinterest, you can search for One Craft at a Time. I’d love to connect with you on Pinterest!.

I hope this information has inspired you to connect with other crafters and makers! Feel free to share links to your social media in the comments below so I can follow you back!

Happy crafting!
